Hearing Isn't Doing

You listen to feedback. You understand it. You even agree with it. "That's true, I need to do that." Then nothing changes.

That gap between agreement and action is where most feedback dies.

What Actually Works

When you hear something you agree with, do this immediately: what's one small thing you can do differently tomorrow based on that feedback?

Not "I'll completely change my approach." That's too big and it won't happen. One small thing. Tomorrow. Specific.

Close the Loop

Then after you do the small thing, tell the person who gave you feedback. "You told me to ask more questions in meetings. I tried it in three meetings this week and got better input." Closing the loop matters. It shows you actually took it seriously.

And it makes them more likely to give you honest feedback in the future. Because they know you actually do something with it.
