The Divergence
There are jobs that look incredible on a resume. High title, big company, impressive salary. And then you do them and they're empty. The thing that looked good from outside feels hollow from inside.
Conversely, sometimes the work that doesn't impress anyone else is the work that makes you feel alive.
Both Matter
You don't have to choose between them. But you do have to be honest about which one matters more to you. Are you building a resume? Or are you building a life?
There's nothing wrong with either answer. But most people try to do both simultaneously and then wonder why they feel empty.
The Integration
The ideal is work that both looks good and feels good. But in the early stages, you might need to choose. What matters more right now: the credential or the feeling?
Give yourself permission to optimize for one while you build toward the other. Just be honest about what you're doing.
